The Okanagan Valley is known for being one of the most desirable and sublimely gorgeous places to visit in all of British Columbia and making time to take a trip to the Bliss Bakery while there is my cherry on the cake. This family business has a passionate philosophy of producing hand made, natural goodies with only the purest of ingredients and in doing so have won over the loyalty of both locals and visitors alike.

This being one of Bliss Bakery’s five Okanagan locations some of their offerings include satisfying sandwiches constructed with their own house roasted and herb infused meats, deliciously baked goods prepared from scratch in every way possible and delightful drinks including Organic, Fair trade, locally roasted beans from Cherry Hill Coffee company.
On this particular visit I came for only the goods, baked goods that is and didn’t resist my every urge to taste both traditional and seasonal treats.  It was difficult to choose but here are some of my absolute favourites from this time around:

Hola Granola Bar
An abundance of Fruits, Nuts, Seeds and huge chunks of Belgian Chocolate bless this deliciously filling oat bar. An addictive new addition to my list of favourites providing all the satisfying qualities a great bar should. Salty, rich, sweet, crunchy and just plain good to the last crumb.
Also viewed in this photo is the shortbread shelled, silky Swiss Meringue Lemon Tart and glorious cream cheese frosted Carrot Cake laced with pineapple and walnuts.

Pumpkin Spice Roulade
Delicately seasoned light and airy pumpkin spiced sponge cake wrapped around rich mascarpone whipped cream, gently infused with candied ginger pieces. They candy the fresh ginger themselves making it obvious that the amount of care and love that goes into their creations is unmeasurable. This was an unexpected Fall delight and a shame that it is only available seasonally.

Also viewed in this photo is the beautifully put together Pecan Tart, the flavourful Gluten Free Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie and the buttery Callebaut Belgian milk Chocolate Chunk cookie.

Cream Cheese Cinny Bun
A giant Saigon Cinnamon rich Bun slathered in smooth Cream Cheese icing  filled with juicy Sultana Raisins.  Best eaten warm, this sweet bun could appease a group of four easily but I ate mine solo with a decadent Tropical Matcha Green Tea Latte.

Tree Hugger
A customer favourite this low in sugar, Wheat Free, fruit, seed and nut loaded cookie proves to be both filling and tasty. It is crumbly and satisfying, meant for the individual that would enjoy something on the healthier side.

These are just a few of the delectable delights that Bliss Bakery has to offer allowing me to embrace my most gluttonous desires. They also are baking up a treat for mans best friend with their Homemade Peanut Butter Bone Shaped Biscuits.  My darling doggie gobbled up every last crumb letting me know that there truly is something for everyone to enjoy

I look forward to another trip to the Okanagan and am filled with anticipation to see what scrumptious sweets they have in store for my next visit. This Cobra can’t hardly wait to experience Bliss once more.
